As u know there are two types of processors. one is 32 bit and other one is 64 bit. Normally u can install 32bit OS in any PC. But to install a 64bit version of a OS u processor. So Before installing any 64bit OS first go and see is ur Processor 64bit capable..

2# And Click on Windows Experience Index
3# Then Click on "View and print detailed performance and system information"
4# Now u can see is ur PC 64-bit capable Under System
5# If u can see YES there u can Install any 64-bit OS Without any problem
